Our Bridal Couture International Service
We have worked with brides from all over the world for many years now, and I cannot help but feel honoured to know that brides have travelled from as far as New Zealand for one of our couture gowns…or that many others have entrusted us to create their wedding dress without ever meeting in person.
Either way, it’s a very special and exciting process, and despite all our many years of experience, we are always delighted at how well it works, for both us, and our brides.
It may seem like a daunting prospect for some, and of course is not right for everyone, but we have managed to consistently work successfully with even the most undecided brides, who maybe hesitant at the start, have ended up loving not only their dress but the whole experience.
So, how does this process work?
Once we have received a call or email from you, we will get in touch to arrange a call back. Initially this is just a friendly, informal chat which helps us discover a little more about you, your wedding, and how we can best help. It also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions, express any concerns you may have or of course share any ideas.
It never ceases to amaze me that brides who are very clear on what they want are often happy to proceed after even just this brief chat, and that is great, but as a rule, we would expect to arrange a follow up booking with you for a remote design consultation.
Much like our in person consultations, these give us the time to chat freely and more in depth about any ideas you have for your wedding in general, from the mood, colours and themes to your likes, dislikes and styling ideas etc. This is a dynamic and very creative part of the process and we are told, highly enjoyable and rewarding.
It’s at this stage that a brides will usually know if they feel comfortable and excited with the whole idea of taking that journey with us, whether they choose to travel or stay at home and work with us remotely.
Once the decision has been made, the next step is as unique as each bride.
Sometimes, brides who have friends or relatives in the UK like to use their visits as an excuse to reconnect. Whilst others, who have never been to London, like the idea of a trip with their fiancé, mum or friend maybe, so they can have fun exploring between fittings. There are also many who prefer to travel specifically on their own because they’re just determined to have one of our gowns. Whatever the scenario, we are always happy to help with any recommendations to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.
We are also, always very happy to work with ladies who have schedules that are just too busy and who prefer to go through the process with us remotely using our international service. In this way, brides can stay at home with no interruption to their routine whilst their couture gown is created for them by our in-house team and shipped to their door.
Over the years we have worked with brides of all shapes and sizes from all over the world and in our experience, no two journeys are the same. And that, I believe, is exactly as it should be.
